His division played a central role in most of the major engagements for which Acrean forces were present during the Zemplen War, including Operation Harpe, Operation Overshadow, and Operation Homefront, and he was in part responsible for overseeing the training of Ruvelkan armour crews being re-equipped with Acrean-made Panteras.
Von Rohr was considered an adaptable, competent commander by both his fellow Acrean officers, as well as Ruvelkan allies and Syaran adversaries. The circumstances in which ACRFR's heavy armour was deployed in most battles- opposing Syaran armour- proved very suitable for Acrean armoured doctrine. Von Rohr was known for being able to assess situations and make decisions rapidly, a trait which suited his troops well in fast-paced tactical engagements, but he has also been noted for his comparative lack of strategic experience during the war as only a regimental commander. Nonetheless, von Rohr was decorated for his role in the war, and was instrumental in turning the institutional knowledge gained through Acrean experience in the conflict into practical training in the post-war years.
