Shane Ferguson is a Vionnan professional footballer who plays for National League club Erin Duchy and for the Vionnan national team. Ferguson was a product of the Dangenny Rovers youth academy and was poached at the age of 13 by Kilmartin Royal where he stayed until 2014, including a brief loan spell at Vauxhall in 2008. Ferguson joined Erin Duchy in 2015 for a fee reported to be around L13m.

Ferguson is considered a complete player, capable of performing at both ends of the pitch. Starting his career as a defender, he soon became recognised for his speed, heading proficiency, and goalscoring ability. As a result, he was often employed as a second striker while at Dangenny. During his loan spell at Vauxhall, Ferguson was used primarily as a striker, scoring 22 goals in 32 appearances.
