President of the Aininian Republic Steven Mann speaking to ABC News on 22 April 2014

The Mann Doctrine is the name commonly associated with the foreign and military strategies implemented by President of the Aininian Republic Steven Mann and the Progressive Conservative government of Ainin. The term was first coined by ABC News political commentator Albert Wellington in April 2014 to describe the recent significant expansions to the Aininian Armed Forces, and it marks a profound shift in Aininian foreign policy from seeing the Triumvirate as the enemy to seeing Luziyca and its recent operations in foreign countries as the main threat.

It has been characterised by many as the "3Cs".

  • Contain Luziycan expansion
  • Control Luziycan imperialism
  • Crush Luziycan influence

According to the Roberts Institute conservative think tank, the doctrine has been exercised in Ocidenia by the Mann government, and negotiations with Wolfmanne and East Nautarya for military agreements also fall within the extent of the doctrine. Some, most notably Forestia Mayor Rosalie Desfleurs, argue that the Mann doctrine is a misnomer, because actions that would fall under this doctrine were undertaken towards the end of the Raspberry government in Ocidenia and Concordia.

Under what has been termed the Revised Mann Doctrine, Ainin will defend any government under attack by 'Luziycan imperialism', no matter the government type. It also reserves to use of armed force for such operations. It puts emphasis on the containment point of the doctrine.
