The National Liberation Party, also known as the NLP, is the oldest Kyotakavian political party in the Federal State of Kyotakavia having been formed just prior to the 1800 Kyotakavian general election which marked the first time that the protectorate of Kyotakavia was given a democratic election. The party is a Broad Tent alliance of hardline Nationalists, representing do-or-die nationalism in the Legislative Assembly which means that politically it has been able to forge alliances across the spectrum which though this has traditionally been limited to parties on the centre or right, has most recently been broken in the 1925 Kyotakavian general election as the party joined with the Syndicalists to form a government.
