The 1989 Jamukh Earthquake (Arabic : زلزال جاموخ 1989) was an earthquake of magnitude 4.2 Mw which occurred on Sunday February 7 1989 at 20 h 17 min 59 s local time (21 h 17 min 59 s UTC) west of the city of Jamukh, Salamat. This earthquake is an aftershock of the one which occurred 4 days before in Al Ajmayl and made 62 victims. Another earthquake occurred in the same place in 2014.
