Hoterallian clans

This is a list of Hoterallian clans. Every Hoterallian is born into a clan, whether they're nobles or peasants, a clan is their presentation of their long-lasting heritage and their pride to carry their last name. Currently, there are over 250 general clans, with 100 being nobles, as well as over 5400 individual clans, many are Hoterallian clans and immigrants clans.

Ancient clans

These are the longest living clans, as well as the most prestigious and imperial clans. Many works for the main Imperial Clan, as well as working in the Royal Cabinet or being an independent politician in the National Diet.

The ancient clans are one of the wealthiest in the Empire, with the Shiro being the richest, only the economic clans can be equally compared to the others.

Some of these clans used to be warlords during the First Unification War, in the present, they're politicians, supporters in the Royal Cabinet, or any other high ranking jobs.

Shiro Dynasty The Imperial Clan 城氏	Based on the legend of creation, the Shiro Dynasty was the very first clan to be created and organized, they were bestowed upon the Gods to rules Hoterallia as leaders. The Shiro Dynasty have lasted for well over 2000 years, they ruled Hoterallia as Emperors or Empress. The Dynasty is "the symbol of the state and the power of the people of Hoterallia". In the past, the Imperial rules forbid the usage of concubines and harems, which resulted in the small branches of the clan. The Clan is seen as "Pureblood", symbolizing their royalties and power, due to this, many of the clan's members can only marry other noble's clans. These rules are sometimes broken, for some members to change their lives to a normal one without royalties.
Shiro-Kaida Clan 城快打氏	The Shiro-Kaida Clan is a cadet branch of the Imperial Clan, they were once a part of the Shiro Dynasty before losing their membership of the Royal Family due to their collaboration with the Hosu Taichimate. They are still considered as royals but under the main Shiro Clan, today, they mostly work in the Royal Cabinet or as politicians in the Diet.
Shiro-Maida Clan 城眛旦氏	The Shiro-Maida Clan is a cadet branch of the Imperial Clan, they are considered, for some, a second Imperial Clan, but many deny their Imperial Rule to their foreign engagements. One of the most well-known is with Krenya, under the Maida-Zehens Clan. Today, they still work for the main Shiro Dynasty, in the Royal Cabinet, as well as diplomatic personnel.
Takaida Clan 高井田氏	The Takaida Clan is the descendant of the former Hosu Taichimate's Clan, even though being hatred for a long period of time in history, their cooperation and redemption was proven during the Second Reunification War. Today, many of the members served as military personnel, general, and members of the Kodoha.

The Nobles Clans

Kōkina Shizoku (高貴な氏族) are the prominent clans that took heavy duties in the Empire, many of members of the clans, both in the past and present, shape Hoterallia in one way or another. While many worked as politicians, some worked as military advisors, as financial managers, as the Emperor advisors…

Tsuji Clan 辻氏	The Tsuji Clan is a well-known clan that served many years in the Taihago faction, many were and are representative of the faction. They worked for the Shiro, as well as the Empire for more than hundreds of years, they started from a small samurai clan and worked their way up in the political rank. During the First Unification War, they were integrated into the Shori's Army and fought to help them unify the Empire.
Yoshikawa Clan 吉川氏	The Yoshikawa Clan is a well-known clan for its strict and formidable power, as well as its large involvement and support for the Kodoha faction. Their discipline earn people's reputation as well as the Emperor's trust, they fought for the Shiro Dynasty voluntarily during the First Unification War and later helped them reintegrate with the world through trading.
Kyousan Clan 共産氏	The Kyousan is a noble clan, that first publicly appeared after the Second Reunification War, even though not being rich like the other noble clans, they supported the working class and the people, they would, later on, start the Mazuki faction and took parts in many economic progression for Hoterallia after years.
Shinpo Clan 進歩氏	The Shinpo Clan is a noble clan that is the wealthiest of the noble clans, they helped Hoterallia to become rich by careful planning and strategic economic management. They are considered the smartest clan with many members graduating on top of many prestigious schools. Even though they are rich, they rarely got into politics, they are most likely to support the Juriko or independent politicians.
Miyake Clan 三宅氏	The Miyake Clan is a noble clan, founded by Togo Miyake in the 15th Century. The clan is famous for its line of skilled naval officers in the Hoterallian navy. In modern times, many of the clan members are politicians and artists.

Okanebatsu

Okanebatsu (お金閥) are clans that vertically integrated the industrial and financial economy, by doing this, many clans were able to gain a large amount of money while still obligated under the Empire regulations. They are extremely rich, the benefits both their clans, as well as the Empire, by doing so, they have the duty to sustain the large economy of Hoterallia.

Shousha Clan 商社氏	The Shousha Clan is a commerce Okanebatsu, with a large number of ports in Western Hoterallia under their ownership. They are the richest in Anteria, with most of the trading routes in the East running through them to get to the South.
Tsuru Clan 鶴氏	The Tsuru Clan is a commerce Okanebatsu, they earn money through the Hoterallian airways, instead of taking the shipping route of the Shousa Clan, the Tsuru took trading company as well stock exchange into their advantages. They own many trading companies as well as dominate Hoterallian Stock Exchange.
Imae Clan 井前氏	The Imae Clan is an old clan, dated back to the 1400s, they took part in the First Unification War with the Emperor side, they helped by producing weapons like katana, rifle, up until the Hojo Modernisation, they became a major powerhouse in producing weapons and firearms. This would slowly change as they slowly started to produce machinery.
Hiromori Clan 廣森氏	The Hiromori Clan is a prominent clan of the Okanebatsu, they emerged after the Second Reunification War as a fishing clan, they slowly and gradually dominate the fishing industry in Hoterallia, and much later, in Olivacia. They also take part in the mining, automobile, and shipbuilding industries.
Kayama Clan 華山氏	The Kayama Clan started as a financial helper to the Emperor in the 1800s, they swiftly gained their wealth during the Hojo Modernisation. Today, they are specialized in financial services, insurances, and real estate.
Nishigōri Clan 錦織氏	The Nishigōri Clan is one of the most powerful of the Okanebatsu even though not being the richest. They hold monopolies over chemicals, food, and beverages industries due to their farming origin in the 1200s.
Kochi Clan 囫氏	The Kochi Clan is a separate Okanebatsu branch that is operating in Sagolsh, the Kochi clan has a massive influence in Sagolshi politics and society as they controlled many aspects of the Sagolshi economy.
