Before his tenure as president, he served as the Governor of Ordezo and then as a Congressional Premier under the then President [[Angelo Badoglio]]. Historically, presidents during the people's republic era of Appennini were somewhat authoritarian. Giovanni is considered to be the most authoritarian of any previous president, consolidating total power upon his ascension in 1964. Giovanni Bernardino (c. August 1930 – October 1979) was an Appenninian military officer, politician and statesman who served as the fourth and final president of the People's Republic of Appennini before his death on 11th October, 1979. Before his tenure as president, he served as the Governor of Ordezo and then as a Congressional Premier under the then President Angelo Badoglio. Historically, presidents during the people's republic era of Appennini were somewhat authoritarian.
