Yadokawona is a small state located on the continent of Oxidentale. It sits upon a crossroads between three much larger nations: Sante Reze to the north, Kayahallpa to the west, and Zacapican to the south. The country's name comes from a shortening and Anglicization of "Yadokkya Dap Awe Ulohnanne", which in Chiwi means "Land of Sun and Stone."
The country is notable for its mineral resources, which are exploited by Rezese and Zacapican firms alike, as well as its function as a proxy battleground for the three larger powers neighboring it.
Geography
Yadokawona is located entirely within a high desert biome, dominated by scrubland and mesas on which water often collect.
Economy
The economy of Yadokawona is largely oriented around the extraction of rare earth elements and other mineral wealth. The value of these minerals in the production of computer technology and advanced batteries, sought after around the world, disproportionately buoys the Yadokan GDP and has enabled the locals of the area to, in large extent, grow wealthy in servicing the large teams of miners and support staffs brought in to extract these resources. Notably, there is a sizable wealth disparity between the largely foreign-born miners that make up about half of the nation's population and largely live in economic insecurity, the more prosperous native Yadokans who make up about 1/3 of it, and the remaining segment of migrants employed in other fields, who disproportionately favor management and administrative positions that result in a higher standard of living.
