Vha Mehlodhivestoile was won by Petre Lemtre with 147 points - two more points than runner-up Josh Morris. Petre Lemetre was the second non-debutant to win Vha Mehlodhivestoile, trying on five previous occasions to represent Britonisea. 2022 marks the first time a man has won Vha Mehlodhivestoile since 2018, when Taron Woods won and the first time two men occupied the top two placements in the final. It also marks the seventh time that a soloist act has won the competition with Charlotte's Party being the highest duo - coming 3rd with 131 points. Charlotte's Party's "V'agros de Flos" is the first time a song in the Britonish language placed in the top 3 since 2018.

The rules of the 7th Vha Mehlodhivestoile will go as follows. Vha Mehlodhivestoile will continue in its usual structure with there being three semi-finals, a battle stage and a grand final. The first semi-final will happen on the 26th March 2022 with the grand final on the 30th April 2022. Each semi-final will consist of eight (8) artists, with the Britonish votes accounting for 50% of the overall total. This year, there will be eight (8) voting areas per Semi-Final, including the usual six televoting areas (North, Central, East, City, Capital and Aloquirbe). The seventh group will be a demoscopic jury made of 620 people representing the 62 million people in Britonisea who will watch the show's rehearsal the day before along with the final group - The Professionals. A group of 10 music industry experts will be the final "voting area". We've decided to make these changes to give the average Briton more of a chance for their voice to be heard. A total of 8 nations maximum will be allowed to vote in a semi-final of Vha Mehlodhivestoile as we have found this to be the optimal number to gain enough information on how the international votes will go in the final. With 8 nations having voted in each semi-final in the past, we will also be able to directly compare each show. Nations will give out [12, 10, 8, 7, 6, 4, 2, 0] to give a total of 50 points. At the end of each show, the top two artists will qualify for the grand final in Doportedas (six overall) with third and fourth place qualifying to the battle stage which will take place in Kyvivre. The battles will be judged by Scotatrova, South Batoko and Axuva. There will be no international televote during the Semi-Finals.

10 acts will make it to the Grand Final, similar to 2016, 2018 and 2019. For the Grand Final, international juries will vote in the Worldvision point system [12, 10, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1] and will be joined by a Britonish Jury. Around 33% of the final vote will be from the Britonish televote. Regardless of the number of international juries, the Britonish televote will be giving out no less than 348 points. A minute after the 10th song, voting lines will freeze. There will not be a voting sequence and we will find out our top 3 acts relatively soon after the voting lines freeze. The top three will then qualify to the Superfinal to decide their fate. Voting lines will reopen and the acts will perform again. A minute after the last song, voting lines will close. There will be a voting sequence made up of 100% televote (international included) which will give us the winner of the 7th Vha Mehlodhivestoile 2022.

== Battle Stage ==

The Battle Stage will take place in Arenkyvivre for the first time since 2017. The Battle stage will be judged by Axuva, Scotatrova and South Batoko on the 16th April 2022. Instead of the usual ten international jurors per jury, this year per jury there will be three people each. Usually, a nation is assigned a battle however this year, the international jury will have a say in every battle. Jurors will be asked whether they perform Performance 1 or Performance 2 in each battle. In the end, we will total up the scores between all the juries. This means that each battle will be out of 9 (3 jurors from each nation).

Vha Mehlodhivestoile 2022 (also known as MEHVEH 2022, VM2022) is the seventh edition of the music contest, which selected the Britonish act for an upcoming Worldvision Song Contest and World Hit Festival. The competition is organised by Brityunik Vefecosoin Cairkovoin [BVC], Britonisea's public broadcaster which focused on home-grown talent. The competition took place between the 26th March until 30th April. 21 countries from across the multiverse currently broadcast the event, with it being watched by approximately 40 million different households (~ 65-70 million people).

Format

The first rules of the 7th Vha Mehlodhivestoile will go as follows.

However, before the show began, it was decided to change the format to match the 2018 edition of the contest.

The number of participants in Vha Mehlodhivestoile will be 25.

Battle Stage

The Battle Stage will take place in Arenkyvivre for the first time since 2017. The Battle stage will be judged by Axuva, Scotatrova and South Batoko on the 16th April 2022. Instead of the usual ten international jurors per jury, this year per jury there will be three people each. Usually, a nation is assigned a battle however this year, the international jury will have a say in every battle. Jurors will be asked whether they perform Performance 1 or Performance 2 in each battle. In the end, we will total up the scores between all the juries. This means that each battle will be out of 9 (3 jurors from each nation).
