Malgravean Automotive Industries is an automotive manufacturing company located in the United Kingdom of Malgrave. It was established shortly after the foundation of the country to provide vehicles for state-enterprises, however, it has since expanded to providing vehicles for Regional Social Solidarity Councils and the overseas export market.
History
Malgravean Automotive Industries was founded shortly after the foundation of the country in 1910. Initially, the company was purely focused on providing vehicles for state-run companies, with it's primary concern being MalTra and the Malgravean Road Haulage Corporation for which it produces a variety of buses and trucks. MAI also worked with MalDef to supply vehicles for the Malgravean Armed Forces, however, due to the limited resources present in Malgrave at the time due to the Imerian blockade it did not engage in the serial production of vehicles for personal use.
Shortly after the production of the country following the Great Exodus MAI struggled to find the resources to reestablish its industrial presence in the new homeland, however, the start of the Malgravean Civil War and the expansion of MalTra operations resulted in MAI being afforded greater resources.

For many decades, majority of MAI vehicles were powered with electric motors that had been developed in a collaborative effort between MAI, MalEn and MalTec under the oversight of Nikola Tesla to deal with a major oil shortage. In 1950 MAI started to develop alternate methods of fuel and in the 60s initiated the first trials of a vehicle powered by a hydrogen fuel-cell, however, in spite of the promise offered by the technology such a project was deemed unrealistic and further work was continued on the project to try and present a feasible alternative to existing platforms.
