Bajazad, officially Bajarê Azadiyê, is the capital and largest city of Liberto-Ancapistan, with an estimated population of around 8,815,000. Located around the Kendaran, a bay in south-western Basaquastan, it forms one of Liberto-Ancapistan's seven provinces, and is a semi-enclave within Libertarya Province. Unlike most large cities, the administrative area of Bajazad extends beyond its urban area. Bajazad was formed as an administrative city in 1844 from the union of Bakur, the largest city in Basaquastan, with three smaller cities, Girav, Bidesi and Rohilat, though they largely existed as separate urban areas until the mid-20th century.

Bakur was founded in the 8th century as minor port, using the relative safety of the Kendaran and River Diliyen to shelter ships during storms. From the 14th century, it became an increasingly important port in southern Basaquastan in the Acadian-Tamaran Slave Trade, lacking the restrictions on slave imports that existed in the more established ports of Tabariere and Sades. By the 16th century, it had become the largest city in Basaquastan, and one the Five Privileged Ports of the Santian Empire. In 1840, Girav became the site of the first uprising in the Summer Revolution, quickly followed by the other three cities that would become Bajazad, and following the revolution were declared one city, acting as the capital of the Republic of Libertarya. Reaching a population of three million by 1920, it doubled in population during the Great Leap, a period of rapid economic growth following the Unification of Liberto-Ancapistan, and was established as a province separate from Libertarya in 1966.

Bajazad is widely considered to be a global city, with strong international economic, cultural and scientific links. Its economy is based largely on the services and high-skill manufacturing sectors, with shipping and tourism also having a significant presence. Bajazad houses the headquarters of many major Liberto-Ancapistanian companies, including Xiao Telecom, Ronabi, and Beybalas Sirket, as well as the Evrosian headquarters of several multinational corporations. It is a major transport hub in Liberto-Ancapistan and Promeridona, and houses Liberto-Ancapistan's largest airport, Girav-Bakur Airport.

The city is home to a variety of major landmarks, including the Dibiha Mezigh, Great Iregir of Bakur, Fortress of Kendaran, National Gallery of Basaquese and Santian Art, and Parliament Tower, the tallest building Liberto-Ancapistan at a height of 530 metres. It has a high density of educational institutions, including the federal University of Bajazad, the first university in Basaquastan built according to modern principles of higher education.
