Air Chief Marshal Mohammed Noor el-Jabbour, CG, CSC, AFC, AdC, FRAeS, is a retired senior officer in the Royal Gallambrian Air Force, serving as Chief of the Air Staff from 21 July 2018 till 31 July 2022. He previously service as Assistant Chief of the Air Staff from 2016 to 2018.

Early life and education

Noor el-Jabbour was born on 12 February 1964, in Rabba, Bani Nasir. His family relocated to Bromwich, Gallambria in September of 1968, where his father was employed with the then Department of Prime Minister and Cabinet as a Special Advisor on Sharabic Affairs. He was educated at King's College. He studied Aeronautical Engineering at the Gallambrian National University, graduating with a Bachelor of Engineer with Honours (BEng (Hons)) degree in 1986. He later attended the Gallambrian Defence Staff College, graduating with an Masters of Arts degree in Strategic Studies in 2001.

RGAF career

Noor el-Jabbour was appointed into the Royal Gallambrian Air Force on 29 January 1982, as a Officer Cadet with 1902 University Air Squadron. Upon graduation from university he was promoted to the rank of Flying Officer, on 29 November 1986. He was promoted to Flight Lieutenant on 5 February 1988.

Promoted to Squadron Leader on 1 January 1996, he was given command of No. 14 Squadron and, having been promoted to Wing Commander on 1 July 2000, he became commander of No. 4 Wing in 2006. He went on to be promoted to Group Captain and became Director of Air Operations with Force Headquarters, Gallambrian Forces in the Bashan in 2009. Noor el-Jabbour was appointed a in recognition of his services in The Bashan in 2011.

Noor el-Jabbour was promoted to Air Vice-Marshal on 15 April 2013, and appointed Commander Gallambrian Forces in the Bashan. He was promoted to Air Marshal on 10 January 2017, after which he was appointed Assistant Chief of the Air Staff.

Noor el-Jabbour was promoted to Air Chief Marshal and became Chief of the Air Staff, the professional head of the RGAF, in succession to Air Chief Marshal Errol McCormack on his appointed as Chief of the Defence Staff.
