Death Comes Three Times Today is a 2023 Besmenian horror anthology film produced by Dieter Fischer, Jochen Kleinmacher and Jens Schleswig.
Plot
The Guinea Pig
The first story takes place in a neglected apartment in Freiz. The unnamed protagonist, a young girl, pets a guinea pig and talks about its behavior and that the animals don't like being petted at all. Then she gets a pair of poultry shears from the kitchen and goes into her father's bedroom, who is tied up on the bed. While reflecting on the castration of her guinea pig, she cuts off her father's penis with poultry shears. She then packs her suitcase. Before she leaves the apartment, she dismembers her father with an electric bread knife. When she then leaves the apartment, you can see her uninjured father looking after her.
The Neo-Ochsenbeinists
The deaf-mute couple Matthias and Laura walk through an abandoned industrial site. In sign language, Matthias tells of an incident from the West Besmenian Revolution. When his grandmother's village is stormed and wiped out by "Holy Besmenia", a group of followers of Ochsenbeinism, his grandmother is also to be killed. With the help of an amulet, however, she apparently succeeds in exchanging the soul of the leader Bierbaum with that of her father. First "Bierbaum" then kills her father, but then also all other members of "Holy Besmenia"
Matthias is just about to continue telling the story when Neo-Ochsenbeinists appear around the leader Jakob and Franz. They begin to torment the couple and severely injure Laura. With the last of her strength she takes out the amulet and apparently she can use it to send Matthias into Jakob's body and vice versa. "Jakob" first has to get used to his newly acquired language, while "Matthias" desperately tries to convince his comrades that he is really Jakob. Now “Matthias'” martyrdom begins. He is tortured and suffers numerous injuries. He is then locked in a storage room. When Laura asks "Jakob" in sign language what he is doing and tells him he has a choice, he replies in sign language that he doesn't have one. The film switches back to the earlier story: "Holy Besmenia" leader Bierbaum kills Laura's grandmother's father, and "Holy Besmenia" members, still alive, leave the shocked girl behind. Matthias is mocked one last time, doused with petrol and then burned. The Neo-Ochsenbeinists leave Laura dying. One of them returns shortly after and steals the amulet.
The Addiction
The successful scene photographer Peter has just ended a failed relationship with the jealous Sandra. He hangs around in dubious chat rooms in search of distraction and meets "White Woman" there. The two agree to meet in a scene club. At the club, however, Peter meets Christine, with whom he immediately falls in love. The two dance and use drugs. When Peter wants to masturbate her orally in the toilet, Christine jumps up and leaves the club. He follows his beloved to a villa. There he demands admission, but is informed by an elderly gentleman that it is a private club. To become a member, Peter must unconditionally obey the host. Membership is not reversible. After a moment's hesitation, Peter agrees and joins the club. He is given a collar that acts as a club card, and is told that a mandrake-based potion is administered to club members. This is said to increase sexual desire. Peter can be chained to a table and blindfolded. After being administered the potion, he has a sexual arousal experience.
The next morning he is hooked. He keeps coming back to the club, but one day Christine isn't there anymore. He tries to confront her and she advises him to secretly remove the blindfold. At his next session, he does so, and a monster scratches his stomach. He then goes back to see Christine, who is sitting in the bathtub after a suicide attempt, high on pills. When Peter tries to save her, she kills herself with broken wine glass. Shortly thereafter, Sandra knocks on his door again, and the two reconcile. But Peter is still addicted to the mandrake. Sandra takes the necklace and offers herself to Peter. The two sleep together, but Peter has a bad flashback. When he wakes up the next morning, he realizes that he has strangled Sandra.
