Federation of Sol, is a nation occupying a significant portion of space along with territory in western and eastern Antarctica. Its western Antarctic territory is bordered by Laka to the west. Its eastern Antarctic territory is bordered by Magarsha to the west and Sibra to the east.
The Federation of Sol ranks high for civil liberties, HRC-FS human rights, and very high for political freedom. The Federation is a descendent of the Federation of Earth and was formed after the Collapse of the World once civilised humanity was forced to move off Earth. Unlike all other civilizations, the Federation maintained high levels of civil liberties and political diversity and freedom. The Federation runs on a representative democracy consisting of the five main space stations along with several other smaller space stations and spacecraft.
The Federation’s economy is the largest in the world consisting of mass amounts of manufacturing of every mass-produced product in existence along with an extensive mining industry on Earth. Most economies are tied or pegged to the Federation’s. Magarsha is the Federation’s main competitor both socially and economically. The only sovereign member of the Federation is Sibra. Sibra was also the first successful contact to Earth by the Federation since Magarsha cut contact.
Etymology
The Federation of Sol is literally a federation in the solar system. The original name was the Solar Federation and was changed due to lingual changes. The country was founded as the Federation of Earth, then changed to the Solar Federation after the country moved to space. The reasoning was that since the country no longer belonged to a planet, it would occupy the solar system.
