Mirinu is a 2019 Zamastanian action thriller film, written and directed by Peter Scott Newton, starring Avianna Riley, Grayson Simmons, Naroa Avilés, Chase Russell, and Alexander Vázquez. The film follows a principled ZIS Special Agent who is enlisted by a government task force to bring down the leader of a powerful and brutal sect of the Ouacan drug cartel. Mirinu received praise for its cast performances, action sequences, writing, direction, musical score and cinematography. It was nominated for 10 awards at the 93rd Tofino Film Festival, winning Best Actor (Vázquez), Best Adapted Screenplay, Best Sound Editing, and Best Costume Design.
