The standard camouflage pattern is officially designated as Boisé Mixte (Mixed Woodland) and features a color pallet consisting of green, brown, black and tan with thick stripping. The National Army of Notreceau (Notreceauen: Armée Nationale de Notreceau) is the land-based and largest component of the Notreceauen military. The National Army is a strictly professional fighting force, having ended conscription in 2001 following a drawdown of Notreceauen forces at the end of the Omandan Continental War. Service in the National Army is considered a prestigious occupation within the nation and is generally a cultural and in many cases official requirement for political office and advancement. Volunteers in the National Army sign a term of enlistment for five years, after which they are placed on inactive reserve for another three years at the conclusion of their military service.

The current chief of staff of the National Army is Samson Dennel, who is directly subordinate to the Director of the Department of the Army, Norbert Béringer. As well as the Director of the Department of National Defense, Léon Blanc. As of January 2021 the National Army has a total of [Insert] active duty service members and [insert] reserve members.

The Chasseurs Alpins (Mountain Infantry) wear a large beret known as "gâteau" (The cake) with a white dress uniform and long white burnous. Sapeurs wear the standard dress uniform with leather gloves and a leather apron. Finally, members of the Lifeguard of the Marshal wear a black dress uniform with long black burnous, red kepi and red epuaulettes.

The standard camouflage pattern is officially designated as Boisé Mixte (Mixed Woodland) and features a color pallet consisting of green, brown, black and tan with thick stripping. An arid variation known as Désert Mixte (Mixed Desert) also exists and features a color pallet of exclusively browns and tans in the same thick stripping configuration.
