Identity
Zabevgorod is known as "New Dravun" to its inhabitants, who proudly call themselves Dravunites. This is due to the city's cultural roots with the ancient city of Dravun, which existed in the area as far back as the 600's B.C.E. and was conquered and subsumed by Duern, the ancient counterpart to Durnen. The name Zabevgorod, coming from General Aksyonov Zabev, is used only when necessary and is considered more of a title than a name by the residents. Local maps, tour guides, and business signs list the city as New Dravun rather than Zabevgorod.
Economy
The city is highly industrialized and is a major manufacturing center. Materials including asphalt, wool cloth, concrete, rubber, and glass are produced and either shipped as raw material or further manufactured within the city. Automobiles, mostly large trucks, form the largest portion of the manufacturing sector followed by textiles and electrical wiring. The city is also responsible for generating 40% of Durnstaal's electricity output, amounting to approximately 182.128 TWh annually.
