George Asmont (George Edmund Asmont; 7 July, 1892 – 27 May, 1991) served as the Forethane of Esthursia from 1926 to 1944, and 1945 to 1955. Alongside his role as Forethane, Asmont also served as the Leader of the Social Democrats from 1921 to 1955. Asmont was an Esthursian statesman, politician and lawyer best known for being Esthursia's longest-serving Forethane in history, having served for a total of nearly twenty-seven years; additionally to this, Asmont consistently ranks amongst the, if not the, highest in the history of Forethanes, for his leadership following the Scalvian War, his economic record, his social reforms in setting up Esthursia's welfare state (especially its UHCS), and his wartime leadership in his second term.
