The first evidence of human settlement in Patolia dates back to 52,000 BCE.
Early kingdoms
Around 1200 BCE, early organized kingdoms emerged from the various chiefdoms throughout Patolia.
Dharul Empire
The Dharul Empire emerged in 210 BCE, after the Kingdom of Calmos, lead by the Tarul dynasty, conquered the other kingdoms of Patolia. King Arvos II of Calmos proclaimed himself emperor.
The Dharul Empire lasted until 321 CE

The Constitution of Patolia states that Patolia is a "national democratic, indivisible, and secular" republic and that "National democracy shall be advanced by the National Party of Patolia". Patolia officially describes itself as a democracy, however the country is generally described as an authoritarian dictatorship.
