My Little Pelican, called Mon Petit Pélican in Lysian and often shortened MLP or MPP, is a Florentian propaganda fantasy katsuha developped in 2023 by the florentian Ministry of Education, and distributed by the ORTF on the state-owned TV channel TF1.
The serie aims to educate 8 to 12 years old children about the values of the Florentian regime. It tells the adventures of Pélie the Pelican and his friends defending the Empire of Aminalie from different threats symbolizing reactionism and capitalism, thanks to the power of love and friendship. While celebrated for the quality of its animation, character design and well-written scenario, it has also been criticized because of its violence and political indoctrination. Indeed, the serie inplicitly encourages to promote love and friendship, but also glorifies the use of violence against the "ennemies of the Empire".
