The 2021 Besmenian presidential election took place on 28 February 2021 and on 14 March 2021 in Besmenia.

The incumbent president Sebastian Bergmann (GPB) ran for a second term. No candidate was able to achieve the required absolute majority in the first ballot on 28 February 2021. Sebastian Bergmann took first place ahead of Vincent von Schilling (BVP). Von Schilling. was able to win the run-off election on 14 March 2021.

This was the first presidential election where the voting age was 16.

Electoral system

The President of Besmenia is directly elected by the population once every six years. The election is held under a two-round system; if no candidate receives more than 50% of votes cast in the first round, then a second ballot occurs in which only those two candidates who received the greatest number of votes in the first round may stand.
