The interim government of Thermodolia was founded on 10 April, 1888 by Joseph Boltzmann. Joseph Boltzmann decided that corporations should not rule over the people and that the people of the nation should pick their own president though democratic means. His only way of doing so was to create an interim government that would be tasked with creating a new democratic constitution. In addition to creating the constitution the interim government was also tasked with governing the nation and ensuring that all elections for the new nation where democratic, free, and fair as possible The interim government was dissolved on 12 October, 1898.

Dissolution
The interim government was dissolved officially on 12 October, 1898. On 10 September, 1898 the National Senate passed the Third Amendment of the Interim Constitution, the next day President Dâs approved of the amendment afterwhich it went into immediate effect as a part of the constitution. The Third Amendment gave the National Senate the authority as the legislature of the interim government the power to dissolve themselves and to dissolve the entire interim government if they so choose.
On 8 October, 1898 the senate passed the Dissolution of Government Act which gave the President of the Interim Government the power to dissolve the government, as required by the constitution President Dâs granted assent to the bill on that same day thus making it law. The next day, 9 October, Prime Minister Sæ called an emergency vote to dissolve the legislature, as required by the constitution and the Dissolution of Government Act. The vote began at 10:00 sharp, at 10:45 the vote had completed with the vote to dissolve succeeding. Under the terms of the resolution the National Senate would be officially dissolved at 12:00 9 October, 1898. Shortly thereafter Prime Minister Sæ informed President Lara Dâs of the vote.
Officially at noontime on 9 October, 1898 the President and her cabinet formed the Second Cabinet Government which lasted until noontime on 12 October, 1898. On the morning of 12 October, 1898 the President declared that the entire government of the interim government and the interim government itself was to be dissolved at noontime later that day. At noontime 12 October, 1898 the Interim Government of Thermodolia ceased to exist.
