For other Vionna-Frankenlischian wartime governments, see Imperial War Cabinet.
The Imperial War Cabinet of the Kenegan War was a temporary cabinet formed by Vionna-Frankenlischian Prime Minister Arthur Astron to oversee his government's prosecution of the Kenegan War against San Rosito. Formed on the first day of the war, the cabinet was made up of seven permanent members and a series of provisional members and guest speakers. The war cabinet met constantly throughout the duration of the war and was the main decision-making body of the Imperial government during that time.
Background
During times of war, it is common for government attention to be split between the day-to-day running of the country's affairs and the prosecution of the war. In Vionna-Frankenlisch, the usual procedure was to form two separate cabinets (with some overlapping members) - a regular civilian cabinet, and a provisional war cabinet made up of government ministers, military officers and other advisors. This official division of responsibilities had first been tested in the Second Imperial-Balionic War (1871-75) wherein Imperial prime minister Lord Heatheridge split his government into a Home Cabinet and a War Cabinet.
