The Cordobez-Yugoslavian territorial dispute (Chernogorkan: Hordožsko-jugoslavskij graničnij spor/Хордожско-йугославский граничний спор) is an ongoing territorial dispute between Cordomonivence and Yugoslavia over the region of the Varenki Plateau or also known as North Varonland by Cordomonivence, this region composes an area of around 2,529 km2 (976 sq mi).All this region is completely controlled by Yugoslavia but Cordomonivence also claims it as the historical region of Varonland.
The origin of this territorial dispute comes from the Kingdom of Cordomonivence, who controlled this region after the Cordobez unification wars and named the region under the province of Varonland (which would include the disputed area and the region of south Varonland controlled by Cordomonivence). On the Cordobez Freedom War or also known as the First Cordobez Civil War,the neighboring kingdom of Severje took advantage of this situation and decided to expand into Varonland but due to Cordobez resistance in south Varonland, they only managed to invade the north. After the region was occupied,Severje officially annexed it and renamed the region to its modern name, the Varenki Plateau. After the Cordobez Freedom war ended and the first republic was founded,Cordomonivence was both military and economically unable to take back the region by force so Cordomonivence issued multiple diplomatic protests to Severje in an attempt to peacefully take the region back but they refused,so Cordomonivence seemed unable to do anything but mantain its claim on the region
This region would then be controlled by Severogorka after the Kingdom of Severje and Gorka would enter in a personal union. On 1931,the Greater Cordobez State,a Cordobez nationalist military dictatorship decided to take back the region who would still have plenty of Cordobez population,so they sended an ultimatum to Severogorka demanding the Cordobez annexation of the disputed area but Severogorka refused and Cordomonivence declared war. This war would have lasted until 1933 when seeming unable to do proper advances due to the Severogorkan guerrilla warfare and to avoid further economic exhaustion,Cordomonivence offered peace with Severogorka, which they would later accept. After the third Cordobez civil war and the creation of another Cordobez state in 1948,the Severogorkans would begin to worry about a new possible Cordobez invasion and would begin to quickly precipitate to unify with a bigger slavic kingdom,Yugoslavia and in 1955,Severogorka would officially unite with Yugoslavia.
