The first Novdon republic emerged centred on Silograd in the Middle era but succumbed to Gasarian and Tasian conquests, finalized by the 1690 partition. Novdavian identity persisted among rural and some urban areas. The Federate movement spread to Novdon and escalated in the Novdavian Revolution. The Provisional State of Novdon was admitted to the Federate Union in 1835.
