The 2024 Beepeean General Election was held on Wednesday,19 June 2024 to elect members of the 5th Parliament of Beepee.
The incumbent Labour-Democratic-Green coalition government, led by Prime Minister Richard Hunter, won a second term in office defeating the opposition Conservative-Liberal-National coalition, led by Stan Bach.
Up for election were all 120 seats.
Previous Election
The 2022 Beepeean General Election result saw Richard Hunter of the Labour Party elected as the third Prime Minister of Beepee.
The Labour, Democratic and Green parties formed a minority government, following the collapse of incumbent Prime Minister Stan Bach's Conservative Party.

Since then, the Beepeean Government has remained relatively stable, and has worked a full term, largely devoid of controversy. The only exception being the withdrawal from the World Assembly in September 2023.
Electoral System
General elections in Beepee utlise a form of proportional representation using a party list system.
Beepee is split into 6 regions.
- Northern Beepee
- Kermadec
- Sepe
- Catenham
- Albert
- Wynden
Each region elects 20 representatives. Therefore, there are 120 members of Parliament.
Political Parties
There are a number of nationwide and regional parties which contest the election.
State Selective Parties only present candidates in certain regions. These parties are:
- Indigenous Party (Alberti)
- Anti-Uranium Lobby (Catenham)
- Anti-Fascist League (Alberti, Catenham, Sepe, Kermadec, Northern Beepee)
- Auphelian Democrats (Alberti, Sepe, Kermadec, Northern Beepee)
- Beepish Recognition Authority (Northern Beepee)
- Separatists (Sepe)
- Seraphite Party (Sepe, Kermadec, Northern Beepee)
All other parties participate in all states.
Party Platforms
The key manifesto pledges for each major party were as follows:
Conservative Party
- Focus on reducing taxes, supporting private enterprise, and enhancing national security. - Proposals for economic policies that encourage business growth and recovery.
Labour Party
- Advocacy for improved workers' rights, government intervention in market failures, and expanded social safety nets. - Strong emphasis on public health, education, and social justice.
Liberal Party
- Campaigns for increased globalization, decentralization, and civil liberties. - Support for technological innovation and economic freedom.
Green Party
- Strong focus on environmental sustainability, renewable energy, and climate resilience. - Proposals for public investment in infrastructure and national parks.
Democratic Party

National Party

Anti-Fascist League

Communist Party
- Proposals for increased central government control, reducing private business, and enhancing public sector enterprises. - Focus on economic equality and social welfare.
Catenham Anti-Uranium Lobby
- Advocacy for closing uranium mines and rehabilitating mined lands. - Environmental protection and sustainable land use.
Alberti Indigenous Party
- Campaigns for greater indigenous rights, language reinstatement, and land rights. - Cultural preservation and social justice for indigenous communities.
Sepe Separatist Party

Pre-Polling
Prepolling was held over a number of months, from the beginning of 2024.
Forecasters predicted a relatively unchanged election cycle with Richard Hunter maintaining power with his coalition.

Election Day
Polling booths opened at 5am and closed at 10pm with counting of postal and pre-voting votes beginning at 4pm.
Counting took place over night and the first results were known at approximately 4am the next day.
Turnout was approximately 92% with 3.6% of the votes spoiled. The turnout was significantly higher than the 2022 election.
Results
Following the election results Richard Hunter was confirmed as the Prime Minister of a miority Labour-Democratic-Green coalition for a second term.
Reactions
Prime Minister Richard Hunter addressed his followers at their party headquarters in Norfolk Pinewoods, where he thanked them for returning his coalition. He called the result a 'vindication' of the coalitions performance over the past two years and vowed to continue to work for all Beepeeans.
