Ryu Saebom (Hangul: 류새봄), also known by her superhero name Apsara, is a student in Mutiara Academy.

Design

Saebom is a young Korean woman with a round face, thick lips, and long, straight dark brown hair styled in a hime cut. She is of average height and build.

In most seasons, she wears a blue sweater vest instead of the standard Mutiara Academy blazer and a ribbon of the same colour over her collar. In the summer, she wears neither.

Her superhero costume includes a pair of light blue goggles, a blue halter-top waistcoat with six gold buttons and twin tails, a white miniskirt, and a white belt with a gold buckle. She wears a pair of blue knee-high boots. In addition, she has blue epaulettes with gold filigree and a white sash across her torso.

Personality

Saebom is a calm and collected individual, but not cold. On the contrary, she is known for her compassion and kindness. Like her predecessor Mary, she is somewhat of a pacifist, but she is more logical and level headed, enough to understand that as a superhero, fighting would be unavoidable sometimes, even as a first year student. Her intelligence, maturity, and gentleness makes her a reliable person in the eyes of her classmates and this led her to being elected as the class vice president.

Saebom is an avid gamer and particularly likes strategy games and MOBAs. She also likes watching physical sports, especially football and quidditch, with her favourite team for the latter being the Seoul Enforcers.

Saebom's perception of her brother weighs on her. Her idolisation leads her to try to always seem strong and protective of others, in turn

Profile

Origins

Saebom was born in a refugee camp in Busan on November of 2030, safely, if uncomfortably. Her older brother, a bright medical mind for his age, was conscripted into being a combat medic for the Korean Army. While she misses him often, she is inspired by her mother's tales of his courage and his lifesaving exploits, earning her a deep respect for healers, both of the physical and spiritual kind.

Tactics

Saebom is her class healer, consistently providing her classmates with recovery Skills at every phase of the game while also offering great support Skills and a decent offense. While she is not as good as healing as her predecessor due to her lack of a specialization, she makes up for this with her versatility thanks to her Spirituality stat and offensive Skills in her moveset. Her potential as a DPS is enforced by her abnormally high Attack stat for a Blaster, physical skills in her moveset, and two elemental resistances and one elemental blockage, although she has two elemental weaknesses as well.

Creation and conception

RMD was inspired by Geumhee after watching the music video for Pop Pop by CSR. He thought that her face would go well for a kind character who uses water powers.
