ISO 3166-2:HTN is the entry for Hatsunia in ISO 3166-2, part of the ISO 3166 standard published by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO), which defines codes for the names of the principal subdivisions (e.g. provinces or states) of all countries coded in ISO 3166-1.
Currently for Hatsunia, ISO 3166-2 codes are defined for the following subdivisions:
- 39 prefectures (Home Islands)
- 7 autonomous prefectures (Hatsunese Micronesia)
Each code consists of two parts, separated by a hyphen. The first part is HTN, the ISO 3166-1 alpha-3 code of Hatsunia. The second part is either of the following, according to the Hatsunese Industrial Standard HIS X 0401:
- two digits (
01
–39
): prefectures of the Home Islands - one letter (
A
) followed by two digits (01
–07
): autonomous prefectures of Hatsunese Micronesia
The codes are assigned roughly from west to east and then from north to south.
