The Kiefern Group (German: Kiefern Gruppe) is a group of five public universities in Nidwalden. The term Kiefern in Nidwalden is oftenly used to refer to the five universities with connotations of academic excellence and selectivity in admissions. The five members are University of Cologne, Bremen-Nassau University, Saint Moritz University, Vaduz-Hohenheim University and Lech-Hildesheim University.
