House of Chaudoir
House of Chaudoir
The House of Chaudoir was a powerful noble house in south-western Vervillia, which came to power in Blayk after Queen Mathilda II died with no children leaving the throne to her nephew Phillip.
After the death of Mathilda II in 1723 without issue, the succession passed to her second cousin once removed Phillip of Chaudoir. Phillip's position in the Vervillian nobility lead to the Succession Act of 1724 which forfeit any claims to the Vervillian throne that Phillip or any of his descendants may hold or obtain. The reign of the Chaudoir Kings is commonly referred to as the "Phillipean era" of Blayk, being marked by large scale social change in Blayk with the beginning of the Agricultural Revolution and the following Industrial Revolution as well as the nation's first steps towards constitutionalism.
