The Englean Interstellar Empire, officially the Englean Kaiserreich (Engleanisches Kaiserreich) is an absolute monarchy which presides in the Alpha Quadrant and Beta Quadrant in the universe. The empire consists of 145 star systems connected under the imperial government seated on Germania. The empire is a de-facto successor to the Englean Kaiserreich that existed on Sunalaya but it is stated to be a continuation of that nation. After 2260, the Englean Kaiserreich exists as a major power within the Alpha and Beta quadrants and often is seen as the competitor to the United Commonwealth of Planets and the Pantorran Imperium. It is often stated as the "gatekeeper of the Alpha" along with the Karenian Empire, which exists as a neighbour to the Kaiserreich.

Etymology

The official name of the nation is the "Englean Kaiserreich" (Engleanisches Kaiserreich), which derives from the previous Englean nation that existed from 875-2100. The most common English name for this nation is the "Englean Interstellar Empire," which is often used alongside the name "the Kaiserreich."

Demographics

The Englean Interstellar empire comprises of two races, humans and the Muksair. Humanity makes up the overwhelming majority of the population, with a percentage nearing 95%, while the Muksair making up the remaining 5% of the population. Unlike other empires within the Phanes galaxy, the area in which the Englean Kaiserreich was rebuilt did not possess any sentient life outside of the Muksair civilisation.

This civilisation was similar to humanity within the 20th and 21st centuries, as it was confined to one planet with a fledgling space program that was only capable of reaching the nearby moon. In 2189, it was discovered that the planet in which the Muksairi resided was on the verge of destruction due to the orbit of their moon projected to cause collision within two years. At the request of the more welcoming groups within the Englean government and Reichstag, Kaiser Wilhelm V approved the Kaiserliche-Marine scientific fleet to engage in first contact with the Muksairi in order to assist in their situation. The technology of the time was not capable of changing the orbit of the moon, however an alliance between the Muksairi and the Englean Kaiserreich was created and their homeworld transferred to the Germania star system.

While being a minority within the Empire, the Muksairi are respected for their species' abilities - minor survival in the vacuum of space, intelligence equal to humans, and other abilities. Hybrids between humans and Muksairi are prevalent within the Empire, but these individuals resemble their human backgrounds more than that of their Muksairi genetics and are considered "mixed" under the designation of human.

The official language of the Englean Interstellar Empire is German, but Muksairi is a recognised language within the empire.
