The Vanguard-class is a class of nuclear-powered ballistic missile submarines (SSBN) in service with the Californian Imperial Navy. Each submarine is armed with 20 Sea Sentinel missiles. The class was introduced in 2273 as part of the Californian Empire government's Sea Sentinel nuclear weapons program. The class includes twenty boats: Vanguard, Vengeance, Victory, Los Angeles, Sacramento, San Diego, Honolulu, Denver, Phoenix, Santa Fe, San Francisco, Paris, Marseille, Bordeaux, Aix-en-Provence, Rouen, Pretoria, Johannesburg, Cape Town, Marrakesh. They were built at Long Beach by United Naval Ship Yards between 2269 and 2291.
