Karl Verrückte is a former Imperial Altish military officer and the current "Godhead" of Mikukinyika. During the War of the Grand Coalition, Verrückte served as a General for Altish-Sudnymera and attempted to perform a guerilla war against Auvernian and UP forces in Central Nymera, utlizing a mix of professional Altish troops and recruited tribes in the region. Verrückte lost contact with Altish command in 1915 and went dark in the jungles, continuing his guerilla war against the Grand Coalition forces in Nymera. For the remainder of the war, Verrückte slowly lost more of his Altish forces and became more entranced with native customs. His attacks became increasingly more brutal, as attested to by survivors of attacks by Verrückte's army against UP positions.

Verrückte remained out of contact with Altish command after the war ended and continued to assault Grand Coalition forces until learning of the end of the war by radio, as alleged by a former Altish colonial soldier who accompanied Verrückte until the end of the war. After learning this, Verrückte retreated into the jungle with his forces. Isolated villages in Central Nymera soon began to spoke of a "Godhead" to travellers and patrols on the edges of the jungles.

Verrückte began to make alliances with local warlords in central Nymera. Thriving in the anarchic conditions of central Nymera, this new alliance soon carved out a new state - declaring the territory they controlled to be the "Federatiion of Mikukinyika". It is commonly believed that Verrückte was killed by his former warlord allies, but some travellers in the region claim to have seen him in a larger village, living in a temple constructed by the villagers and worshipped as the "Godhead of Mikukinyika". His homeland of Altenland peformed a trial in-absentia on him in 1930, for war crimes such as widespread usage of child soldiers, torture and defection from Altish command. He was declared guilty in-absentia and sentenced to death. Whatever the case, Verrückte has not beeen offcially seen in 10 years. Most warlords in Mikukinyika pledge alliegence to him, but this means nothing in the anarchy of Central Nymera.

Early Life and Military Career

Karl Verrückte was born on May 13th, 1881 in the small village of Festung Orenburg to a middle-class family. His childhood was described as uneventful until he enrolled in a military academy, becoming a military officer. His descion to enroll was apparently in relation to a spirtual crisis that he was undergoing at the time, due to his being a Catholic conflicting with the majority Lyndaist faith in Altenland and. He was transferred early in his career to Altish-Ostnymera and remained there for the remainder of his time. He was promoted to a General by Obergovenor Klaus Liebeld shortly before the Grand War of the Coalition due to the lack of officers within the Altish Nymeran colonies. For the majority of his career, he was descirbed by his superiors as "fanatical" and intensely loyal to the Emperor. He enjoyed studying non-coventional tactics and his creditied with the creation of primitive dirigibles that were used to patrol the Altish territory in Nymera. The same dirigbles he used are now in Mikukinyika, where they are referred to by the natives as the "Godhead's Eyes" and are used in occasional raids on neighboring states.
