Penicé

Penicé is the official retreat of the Premier of the Caropsyne Pontanore. It is a 200-hectare complex located on a scenic ridge overlooking the Bay of Gomosc on the island of Casona. Built at the height of the Caropsyne monarchy's power and wealth during the early 1700's, it gave the Royal Family a tropical seat from which they could rule the Empire they had acquired in both Thearea and Polythia. In 1993, Phodric Dormond, the first Premier to be elected in sixty years, purchased it and spent millions of Creditas to restore it. Throughout his tenure, he and his family would make use it as a vacation home during summer recesses of the Pontiana. Dormond was forced to resign over the events of the Great Oil Crisis of 1996 and donated the property to the Government for use by future Premiers.

The core of the complex consists of a 35-room main house constructed from fine Caropsyne sandstone and lavishly decorated with Ariatra marble. A second building (also constructed of sandstone) is connected to the main building by a covered walk which houses both the staff and protection forces. Rows of palm trees flank the driveway up to the pair of structures. To the east and west lie extensive gardens filled with carefully-selected tropical and temperate species of plants indigenous to the Pontanore. A selection of sculptures by leading national artists can be found throughout the gardens and inside the main building. The complex Protection of the complex is provided by the Casmara in addition to a heavily-armed unit of the Sadriana.
