The Ibaicralt-Borzov 37 (Coysyakka: Ибаицралт-Борзов 37 Истрктпия Анфарник Птлан) is a single seat, single engine Dnieguan fighter-bomber. Designed for air, ground, and naval strike, the IkB-37 is well armored and armed and well suited for most strike roles. Principally used for ground attack thanks to a large payload, pilots of the IkB-37 are affectionately known as devil drivers, while the aircraft itself is often called the Blue Devil.
Design and Development
Developed for a need for rapid response with high speed and maneuverability, the IkB-37 was conceived for an operational need to more efficiently deploy large amounts of ordinance, replacing older strike craft.
Operational parameters indicated the aircraft should have ability for direct fire support capability and be able to operate more than 150 km outside of friendly territory. Its main objective would be to destruction surface target, Static and mobile, sea and land. In addition, the ability to preform anti-aircraft operations and tactical reconnaissance operations was requested. The initially tall order proved to be a challenge for most aircraft companies, attempting to combine the features of bombers and fighters whilst not sacrificing any ability. The parameters were changed shortly on, being far less ambitious than originally intended.
The design was to be Mach 2 capable, with good short-field performance for a defensive dispersed basing plan in the event of invasion.
The IkB design utilizes a delta wing configuration, as well as canards control surfaces, with relaxed stability design and triplex fly-by-wire flight controls.
