Orchid Race Engineering Team is the motorsport division of Aswickan sports car manufacturer Orchid Cars. It is one of the most successful racing teams in history, winning six Astyrian Formula One Constructors' Championships, as well as championships in other racing series.

Origins

Orchid Cars was established in 1955 by Otis Hart in < place >, Aswick, but the Race Engineering Team was split off from the company two years later. They had initial success in sports car racing, placing 3rd in the 24 Hours of < place > in 1958. With the advent of mid-engined cars in grand prix racing, Orchid began entering into both Formula 2 and Formula 1 in 1960, as well as supplying numerous customer teams.
