Great Officers of the Empire

The Great Officers of the Empire are the senior most officials in the Empire of Mesogeia. Currently there are fourteen great officers of the empire, with the highest being the Grand Magister, and the lowest being the Megas Doux (Grand Admiral). Several of the great officers of the nation are largely ceremonial and some have been possessed by the same family for centuries.

Keeper of the Imperial Great seal.
Megas Stratelates Grand Chief of Staff	Giannis Kantakouzenos, 18th Duke of Smyrna	WIP	The seniormost military advisor of the sovereign. Functions as a kind of chief of staff. Seniormost military official in the empire.
Megas Divanbegi Imperial Chief Judge	PLACEHOLDER	WIP	Presiding Imperial Chief Judge of the Court of Divan (the Imperial Supreme Court). Responsible for overseeing the justice system in the empire. Senior legal advisor of the monarch. He oversees the Justice system through his subordinates the Archepistates, the Archichremastikos, the Archikrites, and the Archidikastes.
Megas Prokoitos Grand Chamberlain of the South	HSH Alexius Rhomaios-Troadinos, Prince of Ecbatana	WIP	Overall Co-chair head of the Imperial Court, alongside his counterpart the Megas Darigansalar. Responsible for the administration of the Imperial Court in Alexandropolis. His surbordinates handle the day-to-day running of the court there
Darigansalar Grand Chamberlain of the North	WIP	WIP	Overall Co-chair head of the Imperial Court, alongside his counterpart the Megas Prokoitos. Responsible for the administration of the Imperial Court in Chrysopolis. His surbordinates handle the day-to-day running of the court there.
Megas Grammateus Grand Secretary	PLACEHOLDER	WIP	an equivalent to a chief-minister or imperial secretary, Originally the office denoted the official responsible for supervising imperial decrees, known as prostagmata and chrysoboulla, partaining to the southern provinces of the empire. This office was eventually superseded by the Imperial Mesazon.
Etemad-e Dowlat Grand Wazir	PLACEHOLDER	WIP	an equivalent to a chief-minister or imperial secretary, Originally the office denoted the official responsible for supervising imperial decrees, known as farmans, partaining to the northern provinces of the empire. This office was eventually superseded by the Imperial Mesazon, who combined both goverment chief ministers

Megas Oikonomos Grand Steward	Prince Ptolemy-Constantine Ptolemaides	WIP	Responsible for overseeing the estates attached to the Imperial Domain, crownlands at the disposal of the Emperor by right of his position.
Megas Beglerbegi Grand-Lord of Lords	Andreas Manuel George Daras-Doukas-Atabek, Duke of Khvarvaran	WIP	Responsible for the organization of major state occaisions such as coronations, state funerals, and the opening of the houses of Synedrion. He is chairs the Court of Honour and is the presiding officer of the Imperial College of Heraldry
Megas Amirsipahsalar Grand Marshal'	PLACEHOLDER	WIP	Grand army commander, historically responsible for raising the empire's northern forces, as opposed to the south.
Megas Amirakhor-Bashi Grand Master of the Calvary	PLACEHOLDER	WIP	A role largely ceremonial now, historicaly it was one of much importance. The holder was historically responsible for overseeing the empire's calvary forces, including its payment and such.
Megas Amirnavarchos Grand Prince Admiral	HIH Grand Prince George, Duke of Chalcedon	2010	Senior head of the Imperial Navy and president of Imperial Naval Board alongside his subordinates and the Master of the Ports.
