The 1932 Central Shaneville Presidential election was held on the 14 October 1932. William Mackenzie and his Progressive Party are the incumbent president and party, as for the other parties - the Liberals (the second biggest at the time) went with a new leader in senator William Griesinger whilst the struggling Conservatives look to re-enter the parliament altogether following the immediate firing of far right leader Fletcher Dornor who left the country shortly after his defeat - John Tait was the new nominee for the Conservatives who had the same beliefs as the party bringing some much needed stability.

With the Conservatives looking to get back into parliament and in a weaker position then ever before, a new party called the National Workers' Union headed by George Hargrave, the party's purpose is to stop the urbanization of Central Shaneville from reaching farmland - it also wants to increase social welfare and isn't looking to win seats in this election but in 1936 instead with Hargrave launching a four year plan that if unsuccessful could see the party collapse due to financial reasons.

Pre-election, the predictions suggested a hung parliament with the Liberals and NWA being the main powers in a new minority government.

The 1932 electoral campaigns was most famous for incumbent president William Mackenzie's campaign falling apart in a dramatic way as his number of predicted seats went down during the six weeks of campaigning, the Conservatives would also face a scandal with only two days to go before the election.

John Tait became the next President of Central Shaneville whilst the Conservatives formed a minority government in what was known as the greatest comeback in Central Shaneville Politics.

The Progressives were crushed, winning 0 seats resulting in William Mackenzie's resignation.

Exit Poll

The exit poll suggested a major Conservative comeback scoring themselves a Minority government with the incumbent Progressive Party only predicted to get 1 seat which would likely lead to Mackenzie's resignation.

The Exit Poll took place a week before the election and predicted the following:

Parties Seats Change
Conservative Party 65 -
Liberal Party 41 -
National Workers' Alliance 26 -
Progressive Party 1 -
Undecided 47 -
CONSERVATIVES WIN A MINORITY GOVERNMENT
