Giovanni Messe (21 April 1960) is an Archadian politician, officer, and businessman currently serving as the Archadian Federation's Prime Minister since the end of the Sanguinoso Colpo. He is credited with restoring democracy to Archadia, retaining the personal union with Archedes, and opening Archadia to other Allied nations.

Messe was born at the time when the Archadian Fascist government had attempted to reconsolidate its rule over Archadia and its colonies. His father was among the victims of extra-judicial killings that occurred across the country, being that his father had been a vital figure with the Archadian refomation movement. He joined the army at the age of 20 and rose through the ranks. He was given a valuable position in the army, commanding Archadia's home guard. In the mid-1980s, Messe was among the most vocal supporters of opening Archadia's door to trade, something which the Fascist government refused to allow. As a result, he was removed from his position in the army. Following his removal from his position, he and 5 other Archadian Nationalists officially created the Archadian Nationalist Party that sought to remove the Fascist party from power. Messe was later recognised by the Archadian Government-in-exile as its de facto leader in the Archadian homelands. The brewing protests and rivalry of the Nationalists and Fascists precipitated into the Sanguinoso Colpo, a series of mass protests and skirmishes between the two sides. The Archadian Government-in-exile officially recognised Messe as its head of state. Eventually, the Nationalists won and Messe was placed in power by the Government-in-exile's officials.

Messe became both the Chancellor and the Prime Minister of Archadia as a result, with King Vittorio Emanuele V recognising him as the official head of the government. Messe allowed the monarchy to stay, as they had little to no part to play with the Fascist party's rule. Although he resigned as Chancellor, Messe remains Prime Minister which he still continues to hold and has become Archadia's longest-serving Prime Minister. Messe is often attributed to Archadia's modern founding and has been hailed as the Father of Archadian Nationalism.
