The party was founded in 1956 after the death of dictator John Arnold. The party gained considerable popularity in the 90’s and 00’s after the conservative government failed in the 80’s. The liberal party left government in 2008 in the midst of a corruption and didn’t recover until 2021. In 2021 they won the election becoming the largest party in the House of Parliament. Shortly after entering office, leader of the party and newly appointed prime minister Malcolm Cavanah split from the party creating the [[Socialist Party of Fichmanistan]] and taking the majority of the liberal MHPs with him. The liberal party remained in government under a coalition led by the Socialist party. |
