The Besmenischer Rundfunk (English: Besmenian Broadcasting Corporation, BRF) is an Besmenian national public service broadcaster and has its headquarters in Laitstadt. The BRF is the largest media provider in Besmenia
History
The BRF was created on June 5, 1927 through the merger of the previous broadcasting corporations Rundfunksender Süd, Laitstadt Radio AG and Radio Limthal. When established, BRF was East Besmenia's first nationwide radio network.
Until 1939, the BRF focused exclusively on radio. After BRF was involved in the development of television in East Besmenia in the late 1930s, television operations began on Besmenian ground under the name BRF Fernsehen on August 1st, 1939. BRF Television was the only television program in East Besmenia for over 20 years. Only with the start of BRF ZWEI in 1960 was a second television program created in East Besmenia. The previous television program BRF Fernsehen was renamed BRF EINS at the same time.
