The 1st Infantry Division is a combined arms division of the Blackhelm Confederate Army. As a Blackhelm Confederate Infantry Division, the 1st Infantry Division is a component of the Blackhelm Confederacy's expeditionary forces, and has fought in numerous overseas engagements throughout the 20th and 21st centuries.
History
The 1st Infantry Division traces its origins to the 1st Infantry Division of the Empire of Exponent, which served in a number of the Empire's overseas conflicts. When the Blackhelm Confederacy was established in 1997, the 1st Infantry Division was immediately established with soldiers coming from each of the three founding cities.
The 1st Infantry Division later took part in the reclamation of Ravetta and Sudanette, and was deployed to Egypttiansstan during the invasion of that nation. Today, the 1st Infantry Division draws soldiers from all areas of the Blackhelm Confederacy, and remains ready to deploy to support Confederate interests at home or abroad.
