Johanna Schmidt (née Buchbach) (Johanne Ida Amelie; 12 February 1850 – 30 July 1921) was a Empress-Consort of Tussia by marriage to Emperor Wilihelm Schmidt, She was the third daughter and youngest child of Otto Johann Martin, Grand Duke of Buchbach and Caroline, Grand Duchess of Buchbach.

Early Life

Johanna was born on the 12th Febuary 1850 in ''Rosewiesen'' Schloss which means Rose Meadows, after Johanna was baptised on the 25th of April 1850 in the castle Chapel aka ''Schlosskapelle'', with her grandmother being named the godmother. Johanna had her confirmation at the age of 15 on the 20th of November 1865 in the castle Chapel aka ''Schlosskapelle''.

Engagement

Before Johanna mother died in 1868 she would inshore her daughter was engaged, and that she did finding her a royal match in the Tussian Royal Family with there prince, Wilihelm Schmidt, but the marriage was delayed for a later date, until negotiations with fully lengthened out and the contract for marriage was signed.

Johanna die on the 30th of July 1921 surrounded by her friends and family after having suffered a stroke.
