Background
Electoral system
The Chamber of Deputies is elected through a first-past-the-post system in fifteen constituencies. In order to command a majority in the Chamber of Deputies, a party or coalition requires holding a minimum of eight seats. In order to amend the constitution or bypass a presidential veto without opposition support, a party or coalition requires a supermajority of ten seats or more.
