Lappland is an island nation located to the northwest of Trinovantum, who controlled the country until the late 19th century. The country is largely populated by ethnic Kildini, who are indigenous to the country.
History
Lappland was under the control of Trinovantum from 1023 until 1891. Following the Second Ostlander-Trinovantan War, the Lappland National Party was formed by a group of Kildini cultural leaders in Kiuruvesi and established the Lappland constitution to establish an independent state for the Kildini people. The Trinovantan Parliament, wary of further armed conflict, agreed. Lappland was formally established as an independent nation on July 19th 1891. The first assembly of the Lappland Parliament was held on August 1st 1891, ratifying the 1889 constitution and establishing the Office of Defense, Office of Finance and Office of Justice.

Lappland uses a unitary parliamentary system with a unicameral system. They elect a president and speaker of the parliament. The parliament has 39 seats with the Lappland National Party (NP) currently holding a majority.

Geography
Lappland consists of very mountainous territory with several fjords along the coast and various mountain plains. There are 5 glaciers on the country with the largest one located 56 miles north of Kaviboutna.
Economy
Lappland's economy consists largely of mining, with several domestic companies extracting iron, copper and other metals. Fishing and various forms of agriculture also contributes to the countries GDP, with some Kildini communities producing meat and various other products from Reindeer for commercial sale. The country also has some manufacturing industry, with notable companies such as Ovlin and Ruoigu producing a variety of products for both commercial sale and military application.
