The 'McLear series of semi-automatic pistols were developed between 1977 and 1982 in Clashmore, Temuair by Keenan McLear and is currently the only line of firearms produced by McLear Incorporated of Temuair. McLear handguns are in use by various military forces, security services, and law enforcement agencies around the world, and have been widely exported for sale on the civilian market in foreign nations, making it one of the most widely used and successful handgun designs in the world.

Operators
- Temuair: All three branches of the Aisling Defense Force use the McLear 1190 and 1191 handguns, designated the PD-03 and PD-03D respectively.
- Shenandoah
- Shenandoahan National Guard - The Shenandoahan National Guard selected he McLear 1120 .45 caliber handgun as the standard issue sidearm for all three branches of service in 1999. Officers may purchase and carry a subcompact McLear 1121 or 1123 if desired. These handguns are the McLear M-4 in Shenandoahan service. The Shenandoahan Army National Guard has also obtained other McLear models for use by special forces, including the McLear 9220 and 9221, as well as the McLear 1250
- Shenandoah State Police - Officers with the Shenandoah State Police are issued either the McLear 9190 or McLear 9191 handguns in 9x19 mm. Command staff and detectives may elect to receive a subcompact 9x19 McLear 9192.
- Shenandoah Customs and Border Control - Shenandoah Customs and Border Control agents are issued either a McLear 1220, McLear 1221 or McLear 1222 handgun.
- Shenandoah Federal Protective Service - Officers with the Shenandoah Federal Protective Service are issued the McLear 1120 .45 caliber pistol.
