Vonzumier (Vierz: Wonzumier), officially the Republic of Vonzumier (Vierz: Republik Wonzumier), is a country located in South Artalia. Its landmass stretches from the Amplian Ocean to the Cercian Ocean, making it the second largest country in the world by total land area. Vonzumier shares its longest land border with Cape Ark to the south while also sharing smaller land borders with Gulland to the southeast and Preisland, Villera, Litmar, and Havenland to the north. It's three largest metropolitan areas are Niederau, Rossach and Neuding, the former two being located the east coast and the latter on the west. Vonzumier's population is heavily concentrated on its coasts and near major rivers; the majority of central, inland Vonzumier is dominated by plains, forests and mountain ranges. As a result, the country has low population density while being highly urbanized, with most inhabitants living in cities.
Vonzumier is a federal parliamentary republic, with Ernst Greifelt as its President and Albert Brodmann as Chancellor. The only official language at the federal level is Vierz, although certain provinces recognize indigenous languages at the local level. It ranks among the highest in the world for civil liberties, economic freedom and human development.
