Yughana, officially called the Empire of Yughana, is a large country in Afruika. It borders Axumia and Nymatia to the north, Zimbaba, Bagongo and Zairo to the west and Mokjangu to the east. It is ruled as an absolute, totalitarian monarchy dominated by the minority Okonana ethnic group. While it is the largest country in Afruika, in reality the government only maintains direct control over the Bussa region and the coastal areas, with the rest of the country being administered by a delicate network of quasi-feudal warlords who generally act autonomously of the government. Yughana is one of the poorest, most underdeveloped countries in the world.
Internet and radio besides the sole state-run station is banned in Yughana, though groups opposing the government have established underground media. A monetary policy of continually printing vast sums of money has rendered the country's currency, the Yughanan dollar, absolutely worthless. On paper, it has a 20 million man military, though it is believed many of these 'soldiers' are armed with bows and spears rather than guns. The lawlessness of large parts of Yughana have made it a haven for crime, piracy and especially counterfeit currency. Yughana is a member of the Organisation for Afruikan Co-operation (OAC) and the World Assembly (WA). The Yughanan government's terrible record on human rights and public execution of foreigners has left it with little trading partners beyond Afruika.
