La'akea Yungai-Seung (ᡀᠠ᠋ᠠᠺᠡᠠ ᠶᠦᠨᠭᠠᠢ-ᠰᠡᠦᠨᠭ, born 14 June 1952) is the Empress of Songha. Her reign began on 28 December 1998, following the passing of her predecessor, Kashik Tamaz-Seung.
Name
The Empress of Songha is rarely referred to by her given name, but rather referred to as "Her Majesty, The Empress" (ᠿᠢᠣ᠋ᠠᠽ ᠦᠲᠦᠱ ᠲᠠᠨᠠ-ᠲᠦᠴᠠᠰᠬ, Riw'az Utux Tana-Tuqash), which can be shortened to "Her Empress" (ᠦᠲᠦᠱ ᠲᠠᠨᠠ-ᠲᠦᠴᠠᠰᠬ, 'Utux Tana-Tuqas). Her full, legal and royal title is "Her Majesty, The Empress of Songha, Ta-Puia and Qes" (ᠿᠢᠣ᠋ᠠᠽ ᠦᠲᠦᠱ ᠲᠠᠨᠠ-ᠲᠦᠴᠠᠰᠬ ᠭᠶ᠋ᠰᠥᠨᠭᠬᠡ-ᠠᠫ᠋ᠦᠢᠠ-ᠴᠡᠰ) Riw'az Utux Tana-Tuqash gy'Songhe-Ta'puia-Qes).
Early Life
La'akea was born on 14 June 1952 at 9:10 AM in the Qulha Palace in Jiou'zi, Songha. Her parents were rather unassuming and low-ranking members of the Western Seung Family, a subset of the greater House of Seung. As a result, her childhood was relatively normal. She was educated in the Kayal'i-taun, an elite schooling system in Songha for Prestigious families, from her childhood to adulthood. As an adolescent, she spent time abroad in Hwaha, as is common for members of the House of Seung.
