Coastal Command is one of the major commands of the Royal Radictistan Air Force. Coastal Command is based at Wussrhas Air Base in the County of Hyarpsur.

Mission

The mission of Coastal Command is locate, engage, and destroy hostile surface and submarine vessels in defense of Radictistani territory and sea lines of communication. Coastal Command acts in support of the Royal Radictistan Navy and comes under its operational control in wartime.

Coastal Command operates Tu-22M3 supersonic bombers against surface targets. The Su-25RM attack aircraft is also used against surface vessels and serves an important visual identification role in peacetime operations. Coastal Command operates two variants of the Tu-142 long-range turboprop aircraft. The Tu-142MZ is an anti-submarine warfare aircraft armed with APR-2E and AT-3 torpedoes. It can carry up to four hundred active and passive sonar buoys and is equipped with a magnetic anomaly detector. The Tu-142MR is a radio relay aircraft equipped with a trailing VLF antenna for communication with Radictistani submarines. Both Tu-142 variants operate with mixed crews, RRAF flight crew and RRN personnel operating the mission equipment.
